ALPHA

ALPHA is a collection of four songs:

THE WORLD IS BEAUTIFUL is a pop electronic song;
VISION is more rock progressive;
WITH YOU is a ballad in a minimal style;
I AM FREE is pop ambient oriented.

They are different in style, still they have a character in common, and especially the lyrics which are inspired by a journey of self discovery; the research for an answer to the big questions like:
‘Who am I?’ and ‘What’s the meaning of life?’.

It’s a reflection on everyday life and how we look for those answers, and how often we get lost in the process. But still there’s a strong inner force pushing us forward, despite the many times we fall.

The song VISION in particular describes a real world scenario we are living day by day. Many wars, many people dying; a society that seems to be on the brink of collapse.
We witness daily acts of violence, intolerance, hate, separation and desperation, instead of kindness, compassion, understanding, tolerance and love.
But in this context there is still a light of hope, a vision of a world where people start realising that there is no need for such hatred, because we all are the same. No need to build walls that separate and divide, because learning our differences is the only way to evolve, to become One.
The greatest step humanity can make that could become the beginning of a great change, would be realising that there’s always a choice, and the quality of the choices we make will determine the quality of our and the world’s evolution.

The other songs, THE WORLD IS BEAUTIFUL, WITH YOU and I AM FREE move the attention towards ourselves and the universe inside of us, and how it actually represents the essence, the origin and the finality, the Alpha and the Omega, the meaning of who we really are, and how we can build a real and strong connection with this new dimension, of unity and love.

ALPHA is the first step of this journey, and I really hope you will enjoy it and especially I hope it can become a source of inspiration in your journey too.

The beginning of any form of life is the beginning of its travel through time and space.
An adventure rich experience that, in the specific case of human life,
is a collection of several moments that make us who we are and who we are going to be.

We are looking for happiness during our journey in many different forms.

But what is happiness really?

Is it just a temporary state of peace, or is it something more?
Might it be the state where serenity, peace, deep meaning, a strong sense of fullness, and the connection with yourself and everything else all combine to find their meaning?
Is it the state that makes us feel comfortable, very comfortable, safe and extremely good…?
A wonderful state we can call ‘home’.

We can face many conflicts.
Sometimes they are strong enough to overwhelm us with their power, and we feel lost.
We lose our centre.
We start searching desperately for a spark in the shadowy darkness, something to grab, something to cling on.
It is at this exact moment that we need ‘home’ more than ever.

Finding hope makes us capable of rising again, like a phoenix rising from its ashes.

We find the power that resonates in us, the power of a million stars burning inside.
The warm embrace of Mother Earth, which nourishes our heart and opens our eyes to the precious gift of life; we are one of the most wonderful expressions of it.

Breathing is the rhythm of life.
We can find stillness in the interval between inhalation and exhalation.
We can grasp the essence of stillness when we focus on that short moment.
We can free ourselves from the limits of our mind.

In that instant we can feel the true essence of life.
We can feel its energy running through our veins.
We can feel connected with everyone and everything else.
We become expressions of everything else and everything else becomes an expression of us.
We become one with the whole world, one with the whole universe and beyond.
We become aware of how precious each form of life is.
We become conscious of the actual meaning of our existence on this planet.
We become guardians and caretakers of the immense beauty that feeds our spirits through its energy.
We become the means by which the universe experiences itself.

I was immersed in the energy of Nature. I was immersed in its beauty.
My soul expanded beyond my own body.
A butterfly left a flower and gently came close to me.
It was flying around me, as if it was able to perceive my soul,
and together they performed a joyous dance.
I was smiling, I was happy, I was still.
The world is beautiful…

That feeling of missing something…
That big and empty space.
Not easy to define and hard to know what to fill it with.
Although sometimes I have everything I need, yet something is missing…

During my life I face countless directions. I jump from one to another, sometimes frantically, sometimes in a beautiful and harmonious dance.
Each step I make leaves a footprint that marks and builds my experience.

Even though it seemed I knew where I was going and what I wanted, at some point that feeling of missing something came, like a feeble perception at first that grew with time.
For some, it manifests in such a strong way it causes unmanageable states of confusion, unhappiness, solitude and depression.
We search for a way out.
We blame people and circumstances around us as the reason for how we feel.
And yet I miss something, something important… something I am not able to identify.

I dock on small islands to find some relief, but soon I see the limit of that mirage, and once I understand it was only an illusion, I find myself drowning in the sea again.
It is an endless cycle I am trapped in.
In the same way, I try to fill the emptiness inside me searching externally for something that brings relief.
I might find a temporary bubble of happiness, but then it fades, and the cycle repeats itself again and again.

I change the direction of my attention, and I start looking inside myself.
That’s when the real game-changer happens.
I understand that life as I perceive it is only an illusion, a manifestation of who I am inside. Like a screen where I show and manifest a part of myself.
The idea that the external is the reason and the finality of who I really am starts to crumble.

A new journey inside, into an infinite and timeless plane of existence.
Something I was always waiting for.
When I start tapping into that dimension, making a connection with it, I begin to understand the real essence of everything, my real nature.
I understand that all my negative emotions are generated by the lack of connection with my inner self who’s waiting for me to unlock the door that is keeping us divided.

When I start nurturing that connection, a new level of existence opens for me, and what I call reality becomes just a part of it, not the reason or the finality, just a shadow of a much bigger picture.
And that shadow is very much related to the vastness inside and becomes a manifested part of it.

I feel complete only when I keep that connection alive.
I get all the answers I was looking for, and a great sense of fulfilment permeates my essence.

The reason and the cause. ‘Two mirrors showing an endless One.’

The tree explores the ground with its roots and the air with its branches.
It stays still in a perennial contemplation of everything.
The wind comes and plays with the tree’s leaves, dancing among its branches,
bringing the smell of other trees and flowers with it.
The wind caresses gently the tree for the last time, and leaves.

I can be still and immovable like a tree,
I can be light and volatile like the wind.
I have a choice.
I am free.

Am I aware of the freedom I possess?
Do I really know what that freedom is?
The divinity inside me lets me experience and explore.
The force which lets me become everything I want and need to be and frees me from myself.
Only when I grasp that freedom can I break all the chains that keep me trapped in my self-made cage of fears, sorrow and pain; insecurities and doubts.
Negative thoughts and negative emotions are the children of the lack of awareness of my essence.
They mark the distance between who I think I am and who I really am.

My ego finally crumbles.

I am on the top of the mountain,
looking at the infinite horizon, and I cry.
I cry tears of sorrow,
I cry tears of joy.
Duality of tears.

Duality is the principle that the whole universe is built on.
It is the principle by which I perceive and understand life.
How can I define what something white is if I cannot compare it to something black?
How can I define what something good is if I cannot compare it to something bad?
Both extremes are equally important, as they are essential in granting an identity to each other and everything in between.

I can take control over my thoughts and feelings through consciousness,
start living in harmony with them and not instinctively react like a flag in the wind.
What does that mean?
That I can become an expression of each single piece in the entire mosaic.
That I can become the divinity in the playground of time and space.

I can be strong and understand the limits of being weak at the same time.
Once I experienced that, I will no longer oppress the weak, but will teach them how to become strong instead; how to fly high like an eagle in the sky.

No more “myself and yourself”
No more “I am and you are.”
No more separation.
We are many and we are one at the same time.

There are no boundaries among all creations in the universe;
everything is just an expression of the same energy.
Everything is an expression of the same One.
And you are free to become and experience everything.
The divinity of being many and One.

When all becomes One,
all becomes freedom,
all becomes love.

‘What are you looking for?’

‘What am I looking for?’

Searching and searching…
each one of us is always searching for something.
A good position in life; a good partner.
Many aspire for success.
Some people are projecting their own limitations onto others,
some others aim at peace and serenity.
Some people would like to obtain answers to life’s big questions,
searching for the best way to help others.
Many are obsessed with accumulating more and more and thinking that what they have is never enough, many others can barely survive.

Millions of options are available – as many as there are people.

Where is the ultimate answer?
Is there an ultimate answer?
Will we ever get an answer, or are we just living an illusion?

‘Take me to that place where each question finds its answer,
where I can be free from the limitations of my mind,
where I can become one with the vastness of who I really am’.

What do you see when you look at me?
Might I be a projection of a part of yourself and you a projection of some part of mine?

Separation is only an illusion;
a necessary stage to define everything in this experience we call life.
What is beyond that veil of illusion?

Why are you so afraid to lose your identity,
to lose the boundaries that define who you think you are?
Why are you so afraid of the infinite greatness that lies behind the limiting mask society has given you by feeding your ego through a distorted idea of reality?

Who are you really?

Let’s consider this:
Unity, the Whole, or the One wants to know and experience itself.
How can it do that?
This requires separation into two opposites that can recognise each other and still complement the same Self.
What if the entire universe and all lifeforms were created as a consequence of that separation so that original Unity could observe and experience itself through each one of them; many mirrors showing different angles of the same essence.

As your finger is part of your hand, your hand is part of your arm, and your arm is part of your body, so your body is the physical expression of yourself.
Your finger can be recognised as a separate entity, but it is still you.
Your hand can be recognised as a separate entity, but it is still you.
Your arm can be recognised as a separate entity, but it is still you.
They are separate entities, yet they are all one: YOU.
In the same way, we are separate entities and expressions of the same One at the same time.
The great Observer.
The original Unity.

A strong sense of personality and identification – a strong ego – can lead to a strong sense of separation.
Separation can readily and most certainly become hatred.
Nevertheless, unity brings comprehension and love.

Hatred is separation. Love is union.

Once we start seeing everything and everyone as expressions of the same One, like each finger is an expression of the same hand, we will begin to understand the real meaning of Oneness, the real meaning of love.
And all suffering, pain and dissatisfaction will disappear together with this delusional state that we call reality, making space for a profound sense of fulfilment, greatness and infinite love like never experienced before.

All is One.
